How Much Can I Borrow From The Credit Union?

If this is your first loan with the credit union it is recommended that members only borrow twice their savings at the credit union up to maximum limits. Members should develop a regular savings habit with the credit union for at least 3 months before any loan is considered. However, if you require a loan prior to membership of 3 months this will be considered.

As with all members who borrow, the credit union looks at one’s ability to repay, other loans outstanding and the financial history of the member. The Board of Directors may consider each loan on its own individual merits.

How Do I Apply For A Loan?

If you wish to apply for a loan you can do so in either of our offices, online at dbcu.com or over the phone. The first step is to complete the loan application form, our staff will assist in any way possible.

Most loans will be assessed within a 24 hour period. In other cases the loan decision may take longer as documentation may be required to support your application. Supporting documentation includes evidence of address, payslips and bank statements.
